Ingredients
- 1Lb ground beef
- 1 Packet Lipton Onion Mix
- 18 slices of bacon, cooked and chopped into small pieces
- 1 cup chopped white onions
- 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 Tablespoon Jim Bean Bourbon Whiskey
- 5 tbsp water
Bacon Jam
- Saute pieces of bacon in medium heated skillet
- Cook the pieces of bacon until brown.
- Add water, lemon juice, light brown sugar, and bourbon whiskey.
- Stir and bring the mixture to a boil, then simmer until the mixture becomes thick.
Lemon juice
This is the most important part of this recipe. Lemon juice gives the burger its flavor, so don’t skimp on it! If you use more than 2/3 cup of lemon juice, your burgers will be too sour. If you use less than 2/3 cup of lemon juice, they’ll be too bland and boring to eat even with all the other ingredients added in.
Cheeseburger Mix
1 Lb Ground Beef
1 Packet of Lipton Onion Mix
- In a bowl, add the Ground beef and pour the Lipton onion mix with the ground beef. Make sure to mix well.
- Add the burger mix into a burger press and that will make a perfect patty.
- Store any leftover mixture in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freezer for 30 days.
Jim Bean Kentucky Straight Bourbon whiskey
The amount of Jim Bean Kentucky Straight bourbon whiskey used will depend on how strong you want your flavor to be; generally speaking, 2 tablespoons should be enough for most people but if not feel free to add more until satisfied with the taste! If this seems too strong then try using another type such as Tennessee Whiskey which is lighter than Kentucky Straight Bourbon but still has similar flavors.
